  • The solution almost certainly lies in modifying the other plugin to send the right message to a caching plugin. But that could get quite messy.

The problem is that the content being added to a post or page through this plugin is via a shortcode. If the shortcode itself (or anything else on the post or page) changed, then Zen Cache would know to clear the cache for that post or page. But because the shortcode remains constant, Zen Cache doesn’t know to do that.

A simple workaround would be to upgrade to the Pro version of Zen Cache, which (among other things) gives you the ability to clear only a specific URL from the cache.

Hmm I’m trying to think about how that would work. I’d tell Zencache to only update the page affected by the shortcode? Or I’d be able to advise it like, if this shortcode changes, update this URL?

After making the change, you would click on a button to select the specific URL you want to update, then paste that URL into the pop-up box that appears, then hit OK.
