The page wrapper is set to have a max-width of 1260px by default. If you want to change that, it would require additional CSS (using a simple css plugin)

Since you haven’t created a child theme, use a CSS plugin like Jetpack or Custom CSS Manager and add the following CSS rule:

.site {
   margin: 0 auto;
}

This will center your site on wider screen widths.
