    Hi,

When I click on Backup Now, it gives me the popup box, to select what I want to backup, then says requesting start of backup, where it sits for a couple of minutes, then disappears, with no error.

I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling, as well as clearing all the settings, but no improvement. There is no recent log available, after clearing the settings and trying to backup several times.

Also, I cannot delete previous backups from Existing Backups. I have managed to delete a backup (all files) via the file manager, though the backup still shows in the Existing Backups. When I click on delete it just does nothing.

There is plenty room on the server for new backups.

    This is the error log:

    Hi,

“then disappears, with no error. ”
    > Is it the plugin that disappears? If not, then do you see any error message in the “Backup/Restore” tab?

    Thanks,

    Thanks for responding Bryle.
No, it’s the message ‘requesting start of backup’ that disappears. There is no backup, there is no error message.

I feel there is so little to go on. It is bizarre.

This is a 3 minute video of what I’m seeing:
    https://www.loom.com/share/b156670d6df64d9db033886b7874abe0

It’s hosted on Siteground, on an apache server.

Unless you have any other ideas, I am considering rolling back through backups taken by my hosting provider.

    Thanks
    Tonya

Thanks Prashant. I appreciate your help.

I have looked at the link you’ve given and done some searching around it, but I’m afraid I don’t fully understand how to implement it. This isn’t anything I’ve dealt with before.

Where are these commands being entered (which add index.php to the DirectoryIndex directive)?

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you use a different browser do you still experience the same issue? Sometimes browser extensions and plugins can cause this issue.

    Thanks,

    Hi Bryle,

If I use Firefox, I get the same issues.

    Thanks

    Thanks for trying to help.

I’ve just rolled it back via a backup on the server, and it’s now working again.

    Kind regards
    Tonya

I worked out that it was the Mai Engine plugin (that goes with Mai theme by Bizbudding) which was causing the problem. They’ve updated the plugin now, and the issue has resolved.

    Thanks again for your help
