    Hi,

I’ve been using the Plugin for almost 2 months, and getting good traffic. I set up a general website audience pixel with the plugin. Both Facebook and the plugin show the audience is “ready”, the pixel appears to be firing, but the audience size has shown “not available” in Facebook, and Pixel caffeine shows “1” ever since. This can’t be right.

Is this a plugin issue or a Facebook issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

could you please share what filters, with exact values, you set in the audience? Maybe there is something wrong in those.

I have exactly the same problem. I had 3 custom audiences from 800 – 4k users. I have no special filters.

Now pixel caffeine shows each audience has 1 member.
    And FB shows size unavailable.

My ads with those audiences are working OK for now.

    Hope somebody finds a sollution

    Hi,

I understand the issue, I’m experiencing the same issue too now. It seems something was changed in the Facebook API or something similar. I’m investigating it and I’ll let you know as soon as possible.

Same as above. I set no filters, etc.

Has anyone tried running an ad to that group to see if the audience size shows up in Ad planner?

Facebook Pixel Helper shows the pixel is firing. That stats aren’t populating though.

    IMPORTANT

Hey Guys, I discovered the reason for this (apparently) issue: it’s a limitation from Facebook for security reasons introduced recently, they have deactivated the ability to see the size of a custom audience by December 22.

Indeed, you have already noticed that also in Facebook admin you see “Not available” statement, for the same reason.

This is the case where I can say: it’s not a bug, it’s a feature! ??

So, don’t worry about that, more information came out in the next days, but the custom audience should continue to work without any problem. For the moment, the size feature it’s not available and I’m going to hide with a message in the next version of the plugin to not create more confusion in us!

Here an extract of the Facebook private communication, received by email to our developers:

As noted in our advertising principles, we’re constantly looking to improve the quality and security of our advertising platforms. After identifying a technical issue with reach estimation for Custom Audiences that could potentially allow misuse of the functionality, we’re temporarily removing the ability to see audience sizes or potential reach estimates for newly created or edited Custom Audiences in Ads Manager and Power Editor, followed by the Ads API by December 22.

I mark this topic as resolved.
    Thank you all.

Not how Facebook thinks that helps us users. On a new custom audience, I have to see how many people are built up in the audience before I run ads to them so its an appropriate size. This is counterproductive to my goals!

    I agree with you!
It’s not definite yet, so maybe more information comes out in the early next year, but I don’t have much more information about it.
I keep me informed and I’ll revert it if a much better solution will come out. At the moment, I have to hide unfortunately and we cannot rely on that, unfortunately (even in Business Manager/Power Editor, not only in Pixel Caffeine admin).
