Not as good as it used to be.

Had to update my first review, because things aren’t as good as they were.

I think it was as far back and 2018 we moved away from a Pitchero website to our own hosted one, and decided on WP Club Manager. And for 5/6 years it was great, did exactly as it was supposed to, had some really good features, and support was top notch.

Unfortunately it started to go downhill, once it was sold to another company there were issues. Things didn’t display correctly, such as player galleries, new players weren’t appearing in the gallery. It once crashed my site after an update, fortunately I had a backup.

I contacted support a number of times, and was told, yeah we’re working on it, went on for about 6 months without resolution to any of my issues. So we bite the bullet and started to search for an alternative, knowing whatever we moved to would involve a lot of work migrating all our fixtures data, but anything was better than sitting doing an update not knowing if the site would break.

We now have a site that is stable, doing what its supposed to, and the support is second to none.

Shame, because I really liked WP Club Manager.
