    I’ve used half a dozen different plugins of this type (Gallery/Slideshow) in recent years and have just tried Solioquy Lite responsive Slider. I’d seen the claims that this was the “Best WP Slider” etc, so I had good expectations.

    Sadly it did not live up to the claims, and I have quickly deleted it and gone back to a free Slider that is more customisable, easier to use, and has proved reliable and stable. For details of what people do not like about Solioquy, just read the 1 star reviews (always a good idea when evaluating possible plugins to use).
