Not appearing on first item
-
Hi,
This was working fine in 2.6.1, but since we updated to 2.7.0. When adding the first item to cart – the menu cart does not appear.
Adding a second item makes the menu cart appear – showing 2 items (correctly).

Hello Tarkan,
I’m sorry about that. We have not seen this issue before, so could you provide a link to your site so we can check why it’s not working for you? Thanks!
EwoutHey Ewout – sorry to be a pain, any way of sending the link privately?
sure, send an email to [email protected] (reference this thread just in case) and we’ll take a look for you!
I have the same problem.
If I`m not logged in (as guest) the number is not updating when adding an article to the cart. But the article is in the cart.
This problem occurs only when I′m logged out and when it`s the first time adding some article to the cart. After refreshing the site the number in the symbol in the menu is updated.
At this moment it`s possible to add articles and the number is updating.
Only first article if I`m logged out is not working. After refreshing th site it works now. These are my settings of the cart plugin:
Always display cart, even if it’s empty Display shopping cart icon. checked
Display cart contents in menu fly-out. checked
What would you like to display in the menu? unchecked
Select the alignment that looks best with your menu. Default Menu Alignment.
Price to display: total
Use custom AJAX checked
Enable this option to use the custom AJAX / live update functions instead of the default ones from your shop plugin. Only use when you have issues with AJAX!I tried other settings but had no luck.
Can you please take a look at this issue. Thanx
Hi!
Thanks for reporting – this has to do with the action of sequences and the setting ‘Always display cart’ which is probably turned off on your site. We have a fix for the issue and will be releasing an update later this week. If you want a fix right away, send an email to [email protected] and we’ll get that update to you.-

Side note to @pomegranate Thanks for the great support but please lose the signature. That’s prohibited in these forums as it’s been horribly abused in the past by others.
Yes, bad people ruin it for others. Please refrain from that.

@jdembowski – Wait, what signature? I’m not aware of any signature in use here ?? (I’ve been using these forums for many many years and have never had a signature)
Could you send this signature to [email protected]? I’m a bit worried about this…

I’m going to ask that you don’t overreact while I explain in way too many words. Possibly an essay. With some coffee.
This is a signature.
Thanks,
Ewout
As I wrote
Yes, bad people ruin it for others. Please refrain from that.
I also wrote this because it’s true.
Thanks for the great support
Signatures are prohibited. That’s a signature. Moderators have been literally accused of being corrupt for enforcing that rule and some people have lost their minds over it. That’s why I linked to the guideline.

The link used to be this one.

There are users who start with this and are asked to stop too.
Thanks,

Then occasionally they toss this in.
Thanks, for more support

First Name
On every post. They’re asked to stop. They remove the link. 2 weeks later it’s back. Hilarity ensues, often with “Why don’t you reply to X, Y and that person Z like that??? Moderators!!1!”
*Drinks much more coffee*
I’m pointing this out is way too much words because you’ve been here for years and your support is fantastic. I’m hoping that you read this and understand. I’m trying to not be arbitrary while moderating the forums.
Thanks for the ‘essay’ Jan, Got it! ??
I was just a little worried that something in my browser was perhaps sneaking links into my forum posts, but I understand it was just a friendly reminder not to put my name under my post.
Nah, you’re good. ?? I didn’t expect a bad reply from you but oh wow, there have been some overreactions that can only be described as… LEGENDARY.
@ Ewout
Thanx for the fast try to fix it.
Unfortanetly it`s still not working. You can see the problem here:
I have the cart icon allways shown.
I hope you can fix it.
@frischi, it looks like you have enabled the ‘Custom AJAX’ option, could you disable that so that it uses the official WooCommerce AJAX?
I checked your site, but the problem is that your add to cart is not working properly, and this task nneeds to be finished on the page by WooCommerce before the Menu Cart plugin can update the menu. When I clicked the add to cart button on your site, it spinned for 30 seconds and then got a timeout so it never finished. The site was quite slow for me in general, giving me timeouts on the regular page loads as well, it almost seems like the server is choking on the request.
This is an issue with WooCommerce itself (or rather with the server), so unfortunately there’s not much I can do about that…
