hi there. I’m admin of following site:

    https://www.fantascoppiati.it/

when I try to go to admin panel through direct link
https://www.fantascoppiati.it/wp-admin/ … they tell me something like that:
“you need to be allowed to reach this page”.
Same happens to some other pages (profile i.e.).
On the other hand, I have no problem in going there from the bar if I add post, media, page, widget…
What can I do to solve it?
    thank you!

    – What is the exact error message?

    – Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

    Thank you for help.

    – The message is: you have to be allowed to access this page

    – I contacted my hosting provider. They tell me: all permissions are properly set and no error messages in error log.

What could be the reason for that?

    tks again.

The message is: you have to be allowed to access this page

I have heard of message like “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

But not what you have stated.

Any how, try a few basic troubleshooting steps: – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try deactivating via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try resetting the plugins foldervia FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).
    – If all the above steps do not resolve the issue, then try MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
BTW, if you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. It’s a great safety net.

The message is in italian language: I translated the translation…
Initially it was the one you stated I suppose, and it got the actual meaning with italian translation.

Anyway, I sent your post to my hosting provider. All suggestions have been done but with no success: the problem still exists.

    Any idea?
    thank you!

You have installed the Login with Ajax plugin.

Is it possible that the settings in the plugin are changing the normal log-in operation?

Try disabling that plugin and see if the problem is fixed.

    Thank you.
Disabled Ajax, logged-out, logged-in, reactivated it: still having the problem.
