    Please update to latest version 3.6.73 and let us know the issue still exists. And check your csv for any format issues.

    I have the latest version updated. I have also deactivated all other plugins.

    What is an example of a format issue? I just have plain text in the post_content cell with no strange characters.

    I might add that I am uploading this as a custom post type.

    Is this a problem others have encountered?

    Can you open your csv in excel or google spreadsheet etc., without any issues? if so fix it and save it as .csv. This will solve your issue.
