    Hello, thanks for your answer,
    I checked
    “Show All Reviews”
    Retrieval Language ” No preference”
    Update Frequency “synchronised hourrly”
But i still have five reviews in the plugin.

I tried to import but it doesn’t appear in the plugin..

How much time do i have to wait?

    Thanks!

@pierremartin310 The display settings will not change how many reviews are in your catalogue.

The HTML Import requires some more advanced web skills and I can reply to specific issues with the process once you’ve attempted the follow the step by step process detailed in the Advanced tab. If I know what issue occurred, I can assist more.

You asked about the time involved. This depends on how many new and relevant reviews are added. When a new and relevant review is submitted this will appear in your archive of reviews. This is unlikely to offer additional reviews from the remaining ~200 reviews, so I recommend using the HTML Import to populate the back catalogue.

Please read the FAQ entry about 5 reviews. Here’s a summary from another forum post:

This plugin isn’t limited to 5 reviews. You’ll be able to collect more reviews over time as the Places API only sends the 5 most relevant reviews at one time.

So, when i import reviews, i set the lamguage and the date for all and i have the message “No reviews imported”

@pierremartin310 If you didn’t see any reviews listed, check that you’ve added more than your initial 5 reviews. This is from step 2 of the process:

    Wait until it loads; expand all reviews by scrolling down;

If you can see all the reviews listed once you’ve pressed “Import”, please go to the main Setup tab and enable the following:

Clean Retrieved Data – Additional sanitization of retrieved data — emoticons are removed from text

Once set, please perform the import again (you may need to restart the process by pressing “Reset”).

Sometimes the database collation doesn’t support emoticons and results in no new data being stored. This will help import all reviews, including those from the extended character set.

I send you a mail on the site you told me.

Now i can see 10 reviews and only 5 in retrieved data. I don’t understand how it works at all…

@pierremartin310 The Places API collects just 5 of the most relevant reviews each time. Even if you set this to “hourly”, it will not add any new reviews if the reviews collected at this time are the same as before. The Places API doesn’t “know” what has happened before and it has no way to cycle through all your other reviews. It will only ever send the 5 most relevant reviews (usually new reviews with some review text).

I’ve replied to your email as I may be able to assist with the HTML Import directly.

I arrive to this step where i can see all the reviews i copied.

I unselect the reviews i dont want to keep, I select the one i want to keep and i fill the date field.
When i clik to ? import ? i have the message ? no reviews imported ?

For the moment i found a solution, as my site is in 5 langages, in the field ? Retrieval Language ? i put french then 5 reviews arrive in french.
After i desactive the plugin then i active it again and in the field ? Retrieval Language ? i put English, then i have 5 reviews more in English,
I do the same with the 3 others languages.

I tried to import in différents ways but i still have the same message : No reviews imported

Additional sanitization of retrieved data — emoticons are removed from text is cheked.

@pierremartin310 Thanks for the update, it helps to have something detailed to replicate the isssue.

I recommend not posting your email address here. Please edit this out (I’ve copied your email address).

I did reply to your previous email, but I haven’t heard back from you.

@pierremartin310 After checking the URL used in the HTML Import and the list of reviews offered by Google, this slightly different format to what is expected. The HTML Import work for two different modes and this appears to be a new third mode (for accommodation type businesses). Also, you do need to click through to your business, then view the reviews section listed there.

I will use your place’s review URL to implement new functionality to extend the HTML Import to this slightly new layout.

For the time-being, please continue to accumulate new reviews using the automated synchronisation process. You’ll build up a catalogue of reviews over time and you can select from this to display to your visitors.

    Hello,

Seems I’m in the same situation (accomodation type business) as when I try to import, even rating fiel is empty ??

Any clue on when the extended version of import will be released ?

    Thanks

@desclosf Thanks for the post. I will have a resolution to this issue in place with the next (big) release.

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for this new release, now import for lodging business works ??

Still, I don’t understand why, some reviews are imported with rating but not with the text that goes along, making the review defined without language, and some are imported with “visited on…” as a review…

Not sur there’s anything you can do, but just in case ??

Thanks in advance for your help and support
    F.
