    Hi,

I have installed this on my website and can see several logins in the user log, however, there are users who are posting content who do not appear in the log. They can only post content if they are logged in. Any idea why some users would be recorded, while others are not on any given day? There aren’t any particular users who are not being recorded all the time, it seems to happen to random users on random days.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated. I’m using WP v. 4.1. Haven’t upgraded yet to 4.1.1.

    Hello,

Everyone user is recorded who are log in on admin then log out from there.

If user is not access your admin panel then there no options to track them. Only Registered user who has a role like subscriber, Participant, Contributor, Editor, Author, Administrator..etc are recorded in login log .

    Thanks

All users are registered as subscribers and must be logged into post on the website. So they should be recorded, according to how your plugin works, yet they were able to post without any record of a login.

This plugin is only track log out information of user.

Can you tell me that which role of user is not recorded by user login log.

WordPress has been added new roles for WordPress admin user. May be some role of user is no tracked by this plugin.

So if a user doesn’t click the “Log Out” button, then their session will not appear in the plugin?

The user role is Subscriber for the users that aren’t being tracked properly. Others with the same role, and even the same subscriber in question on a different day, are tracking properly. It’s just that subscribers aren’t being tracked every time they log into the site, which is what I need for my reporting purposes.

If I understand you correctly, that the “Log Out” must be used for it to register their session, then this plugin may not be the best solution for my needs. I need every login to be tracked and reported.

Yes if user “Log out” from their profile then system are able to track them.

Plugin is saved log in information only when user if log out from their account.

    Okay. Thanks for clarifying.

I saw this when I realized people were logged in and not appearing in the plugin log – does it really make sense to work this way? Logging every successful login would make more sense – this is actually a “User Logout Log” plugin.

I think I’ll just write a hook into the login process instead.

bcolflesh, that would be great. Let me know if/when you make the plugin available that does that.

Hi weblizar, has this changed? Because at my end, I am able to see users in the login log as soon as they login – logout is not necessary as cited above.

    Hello learner4life,
the plugin works when user log out from their account…it can be tested by-
if you clear all records form database..and login for the first time it will not show any record..until you logout your account.
NOTE: if you clear record from database all user-details will be deleted.
    Thanks

I tested again. I created a new user -> activated the account -> logged in for the first time. As soon as I logged in, the user details were available in Login Log. I did not even logout and the record was already avaialble.

I’m not complaining ?? In fact, this exactly what I wanted. Just wanted to make sure that it continues to work that way. And understand how is it working at my end when you and other users have reported that it doesn’t.

    Hello learner4life,
if its ok to you, its well n good…if you need any help from us regarding the plugin, please let us know.
    Thanks.
