    Hello,
i have a problem, i choose to restore a previous database on my website.
When the restore i completed, i get a server error.
I delete the .maintenance file and the website is live.
But many info is missing, for example the menu of the website is not there, also the categories of the posts are not there and more..
    Any help would be appreciate.
    Thank you

    Hi,

Please can you provide a link to your log file for the problematic restore? (You can download it from the wp-content/upload folder on your website).

It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Hi,

Thank you… but, that’s a log file of a backup operation, not of a restore operation, so it’s not the right one…

    Hi,

It looks like the database is very large and that the hosting company’s setup has a time-out and kills off the restore before it is able to complete. You’d need either to request the hosting company to raise the timeout (UpdraftPlus requests PHP to raise it, but some hosting setups have other time-outs beyond the PHP one that also apply), or to restore the database backup through phpMyAdmin in your web hosting control panel instead (rename the UpdraftPlus db.gz file so that it matches the filename pattern db.sql.gz, and then phpMyAdmin will accept it).

I will cotact my host for resolving this issue.
Thanks for your time and help.
Keep up the good work on the plugin !
