• Hey WordPress,

As the title says i can’t seem to get all of the images to show up when i want to select a Featured image. I am aware that the Featured image metabox/selection screen only shows the images which haven’t been used previously but in this case i want it to show all of the images when setting my featured image. Is there a way to do this?

    Many thanks in advance :D,
    Xiomax

  • I’m sorry but what meta-box are you referring to? By default, clicking on the Set featured image link opens up a window to your Media Library – which shows every single image uploaded to your site (previously used or otherwise).

    Thanks for the quick response

The button is down to the right when making a new post. and exactly the window that opens up doesn’t show me all the images that i have in my media library. Is that the fault of a plugin or is this standard in WordPress?

Then there is something wrong in your install. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
