• Hi

I’ve noticed that not all of my blogs are showing up on the blog page.
I can see them in the side bar under latest posts but they’re not on the main content area.

I’ve noticed only one category is actually appearing in the main content and that is ‘News’.
If a new blog is posted under another category it will not show.

    Any idea why? Thank you.

Without you telling us anything about your site, I can only assume that the home page of your theme is set to display only items categorized as news.

Please post a link to your site.

Update: I notice the slug for my News category is ‘blog’. No idea why. Others are named ok.

But if change the slug to news my blog page breaks.

How can i fix this please?

Hi Sterndata – the blog is not on the homepage. It’s on its own page /blog

Added additional info above, not sure if that makes a difference but changing it does seem to break the blog page.

I can’t find any setting where it could be set to only show posts from the ‘News’ category.

So your blog page is set to show only posts in the category “blog” which may be named “news” ??

It appears you’re using a custom/paid theme. We only support themes that are available free on www.remarpro.com. For support for your theme, please visit the author at https://themeforest.net/item/opus-multipurpose-business-wordpress-theme-/8486694/support

Unfortunately, they are not responding. It’s been over a week and I’ve emailed them multiple times but they just do not reply.

I cannot see any setting that says to only show the NEWS category. Is there a setting that can be changed in the functions.php file to show all categories on the blog page?

Perhaps, but as that’s not a theme available to forum volunteers I can’t tell.

Do you have any plugins that might restrict things to categories?

    Thread Starter ilovetech

    (@ilovetech)

I disabled all plugins but the issue remains.

I created a new test page and built a different theme and all blogs showed on there so it seems to be specific to my blog page but that page is exactly how I need it.

The others don’t offer the same features e.g. the side bar and the layout. No options to re-create it just like it currently is either.
