Not able tp set up jetpack

    Im trying to setup jetpack for my wordpress site but im getting issue with that.

    I getting this messange on my screen..

    “Outbound HTTPS not working
    Your site could not connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. This could be due to any number of reasons, including faulty SSL certificates, misconfigured or missing SSL libraries, or network issues.

    Jetpack will re-test for HTTPS support once a day, but you can click here to try again immediately: Try again WordPress reports no SSL support”

    And

    “cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: jetpack.wordpress.com”

    How can i fix this?

    Hi @addicted71122, this is likely an issue with your SSL certificate. Your host should be able to help you, but if not, could you send a link to your site so we can check it from our end?

    site maxyspark.com and i already have ssl certificate on my site.

    i talked with my hosting company the told there is no issue with SSL certificate and its working fine.

    Do you see any errors reported at Tools > Health Check in your site’s Dashboard?

    Its showing critical issue in my health check. its showing like this-
    1. JetPack is not connected.
    2. Your server did not successfully connect to the JetPack server using HTTP.
    3. Your server did not successfully connect to the JetPack server using HTTPs.

    Odd, are those the only three? Usually there’s a few more that will highlight the situation in general beyond just Jetpack.

    Yes, i checked once again and im getting only this three issues in my health check report. And i contact my hosting service and they said my SSL is working fine. Now i dont able to find the issue why is showing in “Outbound HTTPS not working for jetpack

    Ok, so the main issue is this:

    cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: jetpack.wordpress.com

    Would you please specifically ask your hosting provider why your server cannot resolve jetpack.wordpress.com?

    i aksed them so many times but they told me that there is no issue from their end and told to contact in the plugin forums.

    can i ask you something? I’m using SSL on my site but in my WordPress general dashboard setting WordPress address (URL) and site address (URL) are showing in HTTP. Is it causing the issue?

    Hi there,

    I don’t think that this is an issue. Jetpack works on both secure (HTTPS) and unsecured (HTTP) connections.

    Can you please disable any security plugins that you may have installed and see if this fixes the connection issue? Security plugins are known to interfere with Jetpack.
