• I have a website that is functioning well. I wanted to post blogs on my website.
When I create a post and publish it to my website, I get “400 bad request”
I’ve gone through all my plugins deactivating them one at a time to see if any are causing the problem. I was not able to fix the issue by doing that.

Everything else on my website is working fine, except my new blog “post” page.

Any help or guidance to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Hi jnolet,
Did you try with a default theme like twenty-fourteen after deactivating all plugins?
If doing this, the issue is resolving then it is cleared that there is some problem in your current theme, try to refresh your theme either by deleting it and reinstalling it or fixing the bug.
If you are still getting the error then the problem may be located in some core file, in this case try to reinstall the WordPress.
Hope you will get assistance from this.

    Hi Dinesh,
I tried deactivating all plugins, and changing my theme. It did not fix my error.
How do I go about reinstalling wordpress?
    Thanks
    Jeff

Hi, there may a lot of factor and I am not sure what would be the actual issue and also re installation of WordPress will resolve it because I have not your site detail. A no of factor from server (host provider) also responsible for security issues.
However the process of reinstalling WordPress is as follows:-
    1. Open root folder either from cPanel-> file-manager or from FTP.
    2. Delete everything from root folder except wp-content folder and wp-config file
    3. Upload new folders and files to root directory from a new wordpress zip downloaded from www.remarpro.com except wp-content folder as it is already there.
Hope you will get help from this.

However, my suggestion is that don’t go through these steps if you have not basic idea of core files and folders of WordPres, cPeanel, FTP etc. because a single missing file during process may cause in whole site breakdown and you will feel in trouble.
