    Hi Everyone,

I just installed WordPress successfully, but when I go to the actual website, https://www.noobtutorials.lacedesignco.com/index.php, I am constantly being redirected to the index.html page. I also tried putting a redirect script in the index.html page, but when viewing in the browser the status bar showed it going back and forth from index.php to index.html…non-stop.

Do I need to fix something in my settings? Or…am I just being a total noob.

    Solved.

I created an .htaccess file in the root directory (because I didn’t have one) and typed “DirectoryIndex index.php” (without the quotations).

Doesn’t work for me. This is very frustrating. I don’t want to be putting everything into temporary folders just to get it working.

    Simply delete the .html file
