Not Able to Update to New Version of WP

    I have tried repeatedly to update the WP at 3 of my sites but I keep getting the following message:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WP_Upgrader in /home/writefor/public_html/BlogClickProfits.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 23

    I do not know how to do manual updates – is there a simple way to fix this problem – I am probably the least techie person here….. I hate to be a nuisance but I need simple, easy to follow instructions…

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Then tun the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php
