Not Able to Send Email to Admin

I’m trying to setup sending an email to the admin to let them know when a subscriber is interested in an out of stock product.
I checked “Additionally Send this Subscription mail as a copy to specific email ids” and then I tried adding my admin email to the field below. That didn’t work. I tried looking up the user id of the admin and adding it in the field. That didn’t work.
I went into InStock Notifier > Status and send a test email to my admin email and it works fine.
What are you supposed to do in order to send an email to the admin to let them know that users are subscribing to Out of Stock products?
