• Hi All,
I have the latest WordPress version installed on Linux Redhat 9. Everything seems to be in perfect shape. Like am able to login , post, create users etc etc. Now the problem, No other users below access level 10 are able to reply to comments. When someone click the comment button… nothing happens. Pls. Help.
Also if someone can spare few mins and explian me the actual flow of this application will also help a lot. Like which page i shd be seeing first , what is the normal/advisable user access levels, how to post and how to reply to the posts etc etc and right file permissions to make this work better. I know am asking too much.. but have to tell you.. that this software is something real cool..and i don’t want to give up. I want to see this working and use it.
    Thanks,
    Saj.

How can i do that? So if i password protect the posts will that be visible to the normal (index.php) visitors?

password protect (wp function) and use this: search here for the ‘viewlevel’ plugin

Thanks. I tried it but am still looking for something better. I have made some
progress on that part. I was able to put a login page before the actual index.php
and then upon sucessful login i was able to show the normal Index.php. Now am
stuck at a point where am able to see the recent posting/blog but i don’t see the
reply/comment window below. Even when i click on some posts i don’t get that.
The whole page is just the list of posts.
    Help!!

    Hi Podz,
Find below a link to my blog site…
    https://209.10.58.180/wordpress
    admin
    wp1234
I was able to fix the comment section. Its coming properly now. What i want to know is a way by which
a new user who registers shd only get only two tabs when they login first. They shd not be able to see the
“view site” tab at all. And a way by which i can restrict user from reaching index.php.
    like if you do
    https://209.10.58.180/wordpress/index.php
you will be able to skip the login page. Anyway to restrict that on Apache or some other way..
    Thanks,
    Saj.

Is it possible to remove “View site” link/tab from the profile.php page of a new user? I don’t want new users/level 0 users to have ability to see the “View site” link/tab or they shd not be able to view the index.php page till the time they are promoted to level 1 or above. Any help will be much appreciated.

Am working towards securing my blog site. I have overcome the fist hurdle. Now in my site any visitor has to either login/register to view my site.
