Not able to publish website in 1and1

  • Hello everyone. Can anyone help me to figure out why my homepage still says “This domain is already registered”. I installed wordpress in 1and1 via Filezilla, uploaded a theme, made changes to the theme, and now would like to preview the web-site. However, when I click on visit website, it always goes to the 1and1 designed page that states that shows that the site is under construction. How do I publish my site?

  • You need to remove the current index page thats up there from 1and1. It’s likely the index.html page. Once you do this your site should function. I hope this helps.
