Not able to open Sitemap

We understand that there is a redirect from the Yoast-generated XML sitemap index at https://gp-dentistry.com/sitemap_index.xml to the homepage, https://gp-dentistry.com/.

So we view your sitemap via the ugly permalink at https://gp-dentistry.com/index.php?sitemap=1 and the sitemap is fine. This tells us that the Yoast sitemap feature is enabled and the plugin is creating the sitemaps correctly in the backend.

Sadly, this means that your setup does not have the required NGINX redirect rules applied to convert the non-pretty permalink. Please use this guide to manually add the NGINX redirects to your setup.

Even when I want to open this: https://gp-dentistry.com/page-sitemap.xml it don’t open lol..

Once you have added the redirect rules as mentioned in the guide, the issue should be resolved.

It is impossible to add such rules and changes on the server, unfortunately, and since Yaos is a WordPress plugin I think the correct place for such sitemaps are the files of the website and not the server.

The page sitemap can also be accessed at https://gp-dentistry.com/index.php?sitemap=page and the post sitemap at https://gp-dentistry.com/index.php?sitemap=post. You can access the remaining individual sitemaps in the same way. As you can see, the Yoast SEO plugin is working as expected, generating the sitemap.

By default, our plugin generates sitemaps dynamically when you enable the sitemap feature. Since you can load and see the sitemap using the non-pretty permalinks, your server is not setup to rewrite and, thus, you’ll need to add rewrite rules.
