Not able to activate Security Ninja

    Hi,

    We have a problem when installing Security Ninja plugin (version 5.159). In fact installation is done, but then we cannot activate it.

    We receive following error:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 2147483648 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4561404 bytes) in ….\wp-includes\class-wpdb.php on line 2431

    Tried to increase memory limit from php ini and also into wp-config file, but nothing is helping.

    Also tried to install previous versions (5.158, 5.154), but without success.

    We always get this activation error.

    We are using IIS, and have PhP 8.1.16 installed.

    And WordPress version 6.2.2.

    What should we do to be able to use it?

    2GB of memory should be more than enough, do you have any more details in the log file that could pinpoint the error?

    The plugin should work fine on IIS – is it a big website and/or do you have a lot of memory consuming plugins running on your website?

    Regarding the high usage of the ressources by other plugins, I was trying to de-activate all of them, but stil when trying to activate Security Ninja, I was getting the error.

    Here are a few parts of lines from error log:

    1. WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query INSERT INTO wandgipf_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘wf_sn_vu_vulns’, ‘O:8:\”stdClass\”:8:{s:9:\”wordpress\”;a:124:{i:0;O:8:\”stdClass\”:3:{s:6:\”CVE_ID\”;s:14:\”CVE-2022-43504\”;
    2. WordPress database error Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes for query INSERT INTO wandgipf_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘wf_sn_vu_vulns’, ‘O:8:\”stdClass\”:8:{s:9:\”wordpress\”;a:124:{i:0;O:8:\”stdClass\”:3:{s:6:\”CVE_ID\”

    Just to let you know, we have completely reworked this section and have heavily reduced the memory usage. Thank you for bringing it up, the plugin runs faster now ??
