Not able to activate 2FA

  • Hi,

    I installed the plugin as per the instructions included and have activated user level 2fa yet in the login screen even if I enter an incorrect 2fa i am able to login to the admin panel.

  • Hi, did you activate the security features while logged in as the user? Or did you activate the security features while creating an account as admin?

    The process that I followed; Logged in to wp-admin-> Installed the plugin and activated it-> Went to my profile page, generated the QR and scanned it to Authenticator Plus.

    Logged out and tried to log back in. Entered random digits after entering valid username and password, and was able to login.

    Are you saying that no matter what numbers you enter, you are able to log in? If this is the case, try the following. Disabled all other plugins, then carry out a test. Let me know if this helps you in any way.

    Just to let you know, I did some testing in my dev site and I was not able to log into my account unless I entered the correct security code.
