• Hi. I am not able to remove Google font from my site. It is using GeneratePress Pro.

I have tried adding this code snippet too
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/remove-google-fonts/

I tried the Remove Google Font Plugin too. It’s not working. Please help. I am using System Stack font only in typography.

After scanning the site in gtmetrix I can see fonts.gstatic.com in the waterfall.

  • Hi there,

Setting the Customizer Fonts to inherit our using the snippet to remove google fonts, will only apply to the fonts the Theme is loading

On your site i can see 3 x Google Font requests.
All of which are listed stylesheets loaded by Kadence Blocks. The theme has no control over fonts selected when using that plugin. You would need to replace each of those fonts in your content.

@diggeddy Hi. Any idea how I could remove it? Been struggling with this for a month.

    Thank You

The fonts have been set a block level using Kadence Blocks – that plugin will load the fonts you selected. You would need to remove the fonts that have been set on each block, or speak with Kadence Blocks developer to see if there is a way to reset all of them.

@diggeddy Hi David. I have changed the fonts in kadence blocks to system default font. Will that remove google fonts from the site.

Can you check and let me know?

    Thank You so much

I checked the front page and a couple of posts and no google fonts are being requested.

@diggeddy I scanned this page in GTMetrix https://camperadvise.com/worst-travel-trailer-brands-to-avoid/

and found 4 fonts.gstatic.com in waterfall. Does that mean Google Font is still present in the site?

Yes – and if you haven’t used them fonts in your site then they are most probably being loaded by the Adverts on the page. Theres nothing you can do about that – other than remove the ads.

Oh. @diggeddy Thank You for the help.

    You’re welcome
