    Hello

Sorry if I’m being really thick here, but I used to be able to insert links with anchor text by clicking the black link button that came up in the box. Now that link symbol has turned red and it’s now “Dynamic Links”. I just want to link anchor text to another page on my site (“Essex” – like Kent, Surrey etc have been)

Does anyone know how to do this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @whitevanweddingco,

No need to worry – we are here to help!

To clarify, the black link button should still be available (you can check it out here: https://imgur.com/a/BfaWRXn). This button allows you to insert standard links with anchor text just like before. If you want to link the text “Essex” to another page on your site, select the text, click the black link button, and enter the desired URL.

The red “Dynamic Link” button is a feature that lets you create dynamic links. You can read more about it here.

If you’re having trouble seeing the black link button, please ensure that both the plugin and WordPress are up to date. Hi Mara,

Thanks for your help! How weird, thew actual link icon isn’t there, but when I hover there it is, but invisible. I think I’ve found a bug. Everything’s up to date, but I’m using Safari on Mac, maybe thats the problem: https://imgur.com/6oBjO66

    Hey @whitevanweddingco,

    Thank you for the update!

I also tested on Safari on Mac and the button still showed on my end. Could you try clearing your cache and using the Troubleshooting guide mentioned in my previous message? These steps can help us identify whether it’s a caching issue or if another plugin might be interfering.

Additionally can you please try and switch temporarily to another theme to also rule out a theme conflict with Otter?

Please let us know how it goes!

    Kind regards,

    Mara
