Noone can comment on my blog

    I’ve been wondering why noone is commenting on my blog. I’ve got a sneaky suspecion that you can’t comment on it at all.

    I’m using wordpress 2.0.3 and the following plugins:
    Blog of the day
    EditorMonkey (compatible)
    Simpletags
    Sidebar Widgets
    Google Search Widget

    I’ve got loads of questions actually ??

    I have to resize my pictures everytime I post if I don’t they will go into my sidebar. Is there anyway to make this more dynamic? Like have the picture/text adjust to match the sidebar.

  • admin -> options -> general
    Is the box checked for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”
    If so, that’s the only people that can comment.

    As for the pics – WP doesn’t auto resize. You have a width for your main body content that has to be honored. You can use various plugins to streamline this process. Also, some users have been successful at defining a max width in their stylesheet.

    Hi dennisbp,

    Try changing your theme, or make sure you have a comments.php file within your theme’s folder, and if you do, try editing it.

    Thanks for your help.

    I changed the theme and now you can post comments.

    I changed it back to the default theme.

    I used Fresh Bananas from https://www.nokrev.com and the comments.php was in the folder. Can I overwrite that file with the one from the default theme folder?

    I downloaded the theme and activated it, and the comments form came out fine for me (even when I logged out)! You might want to try downloading it again and re-installing it.

    Which reminds me. Did you see a preview of the theme under Presentation?

    It still doesn’t work for me :-/

    No I didn’t see a preview under the Presentation panel, but some themes don’t have one. It shouldn’t affect how well your theme turns out on your site.

    Unfortunately it didn’t fix it.

    I’ve asked the author of the theme.
