Nooby Questions
-
Hi. I brand new to the world of caching and tried your Plugin. It’s really speeded up my website – thanks for that! ??
I have some booby questions to help me understand better how it all works, so perhaps someone here can help me out?
– My Blog site has a large number of posts – over 3000. Is it possible to calculate/estimate how long it takes to cache the whole site?
– Does the Plugin attempt to cache the site as one single job, or does it cache for a while then stop, then start again?
– If I SFTP the site and check the cache folder, I can see that the folder hierarchy is mostly organised by year/month. When I look more closely, I can see that some months are ‘missing’ – even though I posted during that time – does that mean that the plugin, for some reason, has ‘missed’ caching that page?
– Is there any way of force-caching a particular url?
_ Is there a way of force-caching a whole month, if I think the plugin missed them?
– Looking at the time stamps on some of the files/folders, they seem to correspond to a date/time AFTER initial caching was completed. This is true of some very old posts that I haven’t modified for a long time. Or, might these later dates simply be your PLugin ‘finishing the job’?
Thanks, in advance for your help – and for developing this Plugin. My site is the fastest it’s EVER been.
