Nonfunctional View Counts

    The plugin seems to no longer count post views and does not display any thumbnails in the widget. I’ve had the plugin installed for years.

    I note you’re using autoptimize and am not sure if that is interfering. It shouldn’t as I use it on my site as well, but can you try a few things.

    1. Change the tracker type to Query variable
    2. Install Fast tracker – this is an experimental tracker I use on some of my sites and then in tracker options choose this. https://webberzone.com/downloads/top-10-fast-tracker/
    3. Disable autoptimize temporarily and see if the counter works
    4. Add top-10-tracker.min.js as an exception in Autooptimize on what scripts not to compress.

    re. Autoptimize; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

    if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

    Thanks for your reply. It seems to be working after going through each step and adding the exclusion for top-10-tracker.min.js. Thanks for your assistance
