• Great plugin, but when the member clicks on “Events I’m attending” “My events” or “my bookings” etc. then they just get redirected to the homepage and there’s no relevant information… any idea why that is?

  • you’ve mentioned that it worked for a while! did you try installing your plugin one by one while tracking its effects. it might be a conflicting plugin or theme

    @esmi
    I have posted the problem in the forum but haven’t received any reply yet.

    @angelowl
    Yes i have done so as you ask but it somehow happened after a day or so of installing other plugins.

    @marcus

    Reference your response. My theme is the fishbook theme which is a Budypress theme – and the links do not work – but do with the default theme as stated. You suggested some things but could you clarify what is needed here. I do not want to go look at alternatives as EM seems perfect for me – but I do not really understand your suggestions. Could you elaborate?

    you need to have the plugins.php within the right folders. If you compare the bp theme with yours it should contain some of these folders within your theme (e.g. members, groups, forums, etc.).

    if you look at the bp compatibility plugin, maybe that’ll help you too.

    there’s two files in the default theme folder, /groups/single/plugins.php and in members/single/plugins.php, those files must be there for this to work (and your themeshouldn’t mess with some of the hooks bp uses to load templates)

    @marcus

    Even though i have the default Buddypress theme and based on your suggestion above, i have installed the Buddypress template pack to avoid any lack of requirements, it gives me the same problem.

    it could be a plugin or server issue? it definitely works on a clean install

    I think I am having the same problem, I use a default theme along with my own child theme. When I click on the event link from the users profile area it just redirects me to the homepage. I see people are using this so there has to be a fix. I would appreciate it if someone could share with me, thanks in advance.

    How do I get these to work with a buddypress child theme? Works fine on a default buddypress theme but using a child them it redirects all event links from user profile page back to homepage.

    try moving the buddypress folders (specifically the members/single/plugins.php and same in groups files) to your child theme?
