None of my categories are being displayed.

  • All my post categories disappeared from the list today, and now, not all the posts are visible to be edited in the posts/view all posts area. Both the posts and the categories appear to still exist, but they don’t get displayed. What could I do to begin to investigate the cause and correct this?

    They were working fine until this afternoon, when I installed a plug-in to display a category on a page. It’s called “Category Displayer” Version 1.0 By Craig Farnes. So I deactivated the plugin but the problem remains.

    Maybe I should restore WordPress from my most recent backup. Is there another solution?

    Also, the EZPC One Click Backup appears to delete the old backups, so it just completed the backup after the change. Maybe I need to reinstall WordPress over the top of the existing WordPress.

    What a mess! ??
