P?r Thernstr?m, let me know if you want a CSV export of the logs so you can take a look.

    The trigger is “SimplePostLogger”.

    Thank you!

I installed NextGEN gallery and played around a bit to see if I could reproduce this, but unfortunately I was unable to get the same behavior.

If anyone else is having the same problem, please let me know!

I have NextGEN Plus, I can let you borrow that for testing. I’m sending you an email now…

I have the same problem, but with another gallery plugin “Photo Gallery“, also after the last update of simple history.

    Hi P?r,

Were you able to get NextGEN Plus to test?

I am still having thousands of entries every moment:

@demaier: yes I got it, thank you! I played around with it and tried to reproduce the behaviour you got, but to no avail.

@prowo24: I tried Photo Galley too, but it never logged that much for me.

Must be some kind of combination of settings or plugins that cause this…

Thanks P?r, I’m still having that issue. Every second hundreds of log entries are being saved.

ok, now I managed to get this in Nextgen pro. I had to visit the front end of the site, I was just messing around in the admin before. Seems to be some cache-thing that Nextgen does. Like every nn minutes it refreshes something.

    I’ll dig into this a bit more…

Whew, that’s excellent that you were able to replicate it. I was thinking I was the only one!

Thank you for looking further into this, P?r.

I’m having a similar issue, however with AIO Calendar by time.ly. The events are constantly being updated. Definitely interested if you find a solution. Thanks!

The just released version 2.9.1 should fix the issues with Nextgen.

I still have to test Photo Gallery.

@jkcmi: I will check AIO Calendar by time.ly too.

Thank you P?r, your work is very appreciated!

Thanks P?r for your assistance. Much appreciated!

P?r, an additional note about AIO Event Calendar (same site that jkcml mentions): Our calendars are built of imported iCal events. Since July, AIOCalendar moved all RSS feeds to their own server, and they control the update refresh cycle, which is now many times a day (sigh). We started seeing the problems with 1000s of events in SimpleHistory *after* your update earlier in August (2.8?) similar to user prowo24. Thanks for looking into this!
