It seems there is only one option for the non-necessary cookies section, which is “Enable Non-necessary Cookie”.
Setting this to “no” disables the whole function.
Setting it to “yes” turns the function on but defaults to accept for new visitors.
The latest guidelines from the ICO say you cannot preselect non-necessary cookies, they must explicitly opt in.
Is the plugin going to be updated to be compliant with this guidance?

Thanks yes I actually misunderstood the ui and thought you could use that as the main cookie selection but then realised if you only had that box you could never close the cookie popup.
I can sort of fudge it together to handle the opt in if the site only uses Google Analytics, by just asking to allow that, rather than a general request to use cookies.
As I have understood the last ICO statement about accept and reject buttons having to be visually equal, not leading the user to an answer, and having to explicitly opt in to each optional service (no preselected options), it feels like this plugin is on shaky ground for compliance.
When I saw that ui it seemed like it was a solution to that but it’s not what it’s designed for.
