    My site is not being indexed by despite have everything set to yes, index me please.
    All settings in WP are to allow search engines and robots.txt permits indexing.
    Yet my site is not indexed, and Google tells me “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’”.
    I checked the source code and I find this at the top:
    <meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex, follow’ />

    I did not put it in there, it is not in the theme, but it shows up on all pages.
    In Settings > Reading > Discourage Search Engines the box remains unchecked.

    How can I remove that line of code?

    And are you using any SEO plugin with such a feature?

    I use YEOST SEO.

    I disabled it and that noindex code went away.
    I’ve gone through every setting I can find in YEOST and see nowhere to turn this setting on or off.

    I went through YEOST settings the only change I made was to set Redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself to YES. I did that and refreshed the page now the noindex is changed to index.
    <meta name='robots' content='index, follow, max-image-preview:large, max-snippet:-1, max-video-preview:-1' />
    I don’t understand why that would fix it but it seems to have fixed it.
