    Hello,

I have set noindex configuration in many post types. For two websites, I have realized that these post types are indexed by Google now. Indeed, in the code, the meta robots is on “index, follow” for these post types. How can it be possible?

    Alex

    Hi @alexg132b

Could you let us know where you’ve configured the ‘noindex’ configuration? Could you also possibly provide us with a few example URLs where this is occurring?

We do know that if you set a particular post type (e.g. pages) to not show in the search results in the SEO > Search Appearance section in your WP admin dashboard, that would then be the default setting for all of your pages. But if you were to edit a specific page and then go to the advanced tab of the Yoast SEO meta box, you would still be able to set it to show in the search results, and it would then have an ‘index’ tag for that specific page.

Could you check if that isn’t the case? You can learn more about it here – https://yoast.com/help/how-do-i-noindex-urls/

    Hi,

I have managed to fix the issue using the plugin Yoast Test Helper and the feature Reset Indexable tables & migrations. I think this bug happened after a migration.
