• Good morning,

Client is using WP Multilang and YOAST SEO. There are posts without a translation, but the URL exists in English version.

    URL without content

    URL with content

I was trying to add noindex/canonical to the first URL, so that Google understands that we are not ready to index that.

In spite of WordPress shows a message saying that the post has been updated, when you scroll down to YOAST SEO section, you see that the changes have not been applied. When you check it in code and with Screaming Frog, this point is confirmed: the post is still indexable.

So, this seems to require an out of the box approach.

    I am wondering if:
    – You are aware of this issue and there is a solution.
    – There is a way to put off some posts for being translated, manually, so that the URL is not automatically generated.
    – The only way for solving this is creating content to the first URL, the sooner the better.

Thank you very much for your attention.

    Best regards
