I went searching for a nofollow plugin, again, because well, I was failing at getting it to work in the code.

I found Joel Birch’s nofollowr plugin and it’s brilliant! Just click Activate and all your external links have a tiny green tick or a red circle after them, on the page if you are the administrator and are logged in. Just click on this icon and it changes to the opposite option. I cleaned up my site in 5 minutes.

    I recommend it to anyone.

  • Wow first of all thank you. I myself been looking for this and I am thinking of finding a plugin that can auto nofollow blog rolls, comments etc.

Let me try when I get back on this plugin. Very tempting.

Hi nicregi, when you see all those lovely little green ticks and red circles in your posts, it makes you feel very clever. I know it’s not me that’s been clever, but who cares?

Thanks to Josh if he ever finds this post. ??

I’ve been trying to send a thank you email to Joel for this great plugin but he’s a hard bloke to track down. So I’ll do it here: I have included this plugin in my Review of Must Have Plugins at

    https://www.mysecondmillion.com/best-free-plugins-review/

It worked brilliantly from Day 1, I use it everyday…and it still makes me smile when I see those little green ticks and little red dots. It’s still super cooool, Joel. Thanks.

    Hey Carol,

I’m really touched by your kind words. I’m sorry I was hard to track down – I’ll try harder!

Thanks again. It’s great to hear you have found NoFollowr fun to use ??

    Joel.

Hi Joel, no worries! I understand that it can seem difficult to see the wood for the trees when running a blog. It’s eyes down, and too busy, and then you find an email you missed. I’m sure we all do it.

Luckily there are always plenty of new things to learn/fix/write about. I don’t think any blogger is sitting around and twiddling their thumbs, wondering what to do next and remembering messages we sent weeks ago.
