    Hi @miguelgaton,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, this specific functionality has been built upon the functionality of the block editor and is not expected to be released for the Classic Editor.

    Hi @testwp75,

As for your concern, you were asking about support for this new functionality for the classic block in the block editor, I’m currently asking the team and will report back in your own topic. Thanks!

    Sad :-/

    Hi @miguelgaton,

    Thanks for getting back.

We’re sorry you feel that way. Please do know that the block editor is the future of WordPress and where it’s going. You can read more about why you should consider switching to the block editor on our blog article here: https://yoast.com/the-block-editor-gutenberg-why-you-should-be-using-it/. Hope this helps.

I know, but block editor is hard to use for some kind of editors. You can see clasicc editor plugin is used in + 5MM blogs…..

    Hi @miguelgaton,

    Thank you for your feedback.

We do know that the classic editor was/is a popular plugin for users that are not ready to (completely) switch to the Gutenberg editor yet. However, please know that the classic editor is not future-friendly. The active support for the plugin(Classic Editor) will end at the end of 2021. Having said all of this, we do encourage you to check your options to switch over at any time in the future :-).

Wow, that’s nonsense. I was wondering if I should abandon Yoast SEO, and that cemented it. A sad end to a once-useful plugin.

@ate-up-with-motor We’re sorry you feel that way. You may want to note that no longer supporting the Classic Editor at the end of 2021 is a decision of WordPress, not Yoast.
