No zip file?

Hi,

I’m new to wordpress and having trouble with changing my theme.
When I download a theme, I don’t get a zip file, I get a folder with many files (and some folders) in it. I uploaded all the files from all the related folders, but when I tried to switch the themes to the new one (which did appear in my “Manage Themes” page), I got the following error message:

I’m not too tech savvy so I don’t know how to interpret this.
Any suggestions for what might have gone wrong?
