No YouTube controls on video in Firefox

Hi, the YouTube video controls (play, mute, settings etc) and icons are not showing in Firefox (V.44). I see only a black strip below the progress bar, with the volume slider and time. Is this a bug that has been reported before? The plugin is unusable like this. Is there anything I can do?
