• Hi–

I’ve been using the WP Amazon plugin with no issues for awhile now. All of a sudden it won’t call up the image source. Where that should be it just has the alt=text. Does anyone have any idea why this is all of a sudden happening. As you’ll see on my site, I’ve called up many images from Amazon recently.

    Thanks for your help.

  • David, I’m in the middle of setting up my Music and Book pages using CG-Amazon. I have had several entries (about 15) in my CG-Amazon database for a month now. I notice also that when I went to view my Page, only the two recent entries (that I input last night) have photos now. The others don’t. So somehow, Amazon (god love it) nuked the images. It’s just a matter of going back in and “editing” each of the entries and the images magically appear, but if you don’t know to do that, it can be frustrating.

    Love the CG-Amazon plugin, BTW.

Trying to check your situation in my installation of CG-Amazon, but I can’t figure out what you mean – or at least I can’t fine the error on my system. Everything I have tested came out fine. When Amazon made the switch and then switched back, I just cleared my CG-Amazon cache and all images reappeared.

Hi, Beel. Well, slap my donkey and call me “Fannie” but I never thought of doing that! I guess I accomplished the same thing, just the hard way. (And that is definitely a sick metaphor for my life!)

    Joni ??

P.S. Okay, how do I clear my CG-Amazon cache? Just empty out that directory?

One by one you can update through the CG-Amazon admin page (I don’t recall there being a batch update), or do what I do… just delete all the files in the cache.

I hate seeing my misspellings in a post and not being able to go back and edit them out. The “time-out” for editing is set to low ??

Yes, go into the cache_amazon folder in your favorite ftp app, and trash everything in there. ?? That’ll do the trick.

At some point I guess I >could< add a ‘clear amazon cache’ button to the main interface… If I remember. ??
