Testing this on a site and after approving a user (both either your interface or from the users.php), no welcome email is sent by WordPress to allow them to set their password. Is this how the plugin is supposed to work?

  • Hi @echoleaf,

Thanks for using New User Aprrove,

Please make sure emails are not going to spam folder.

Run a test on your WordPress site with the free Check Email plugin.

This is a basic plugin designed to test if your WordPress installation and/or server can send emails.

Once installed, go to Tools > Check Email in your WordPress dashboard. Enter in an email address to send a test to, and click on Send test email.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks & Regards

I figured it out – and it had nothing to do with your plugin! My client’s site is on Dreamhost (ugh) and they block emails from going out if the sending email is not from the same domain. I only figured this out after installing an SMTP plugin to get an email log (since DH has a crap control panel for their hosting). The admin email on the site was a yahoo account, and after I changed it all was good. I’m recommending the plugin upgrade to my client, btw.

    Hi @echoleaf,

It’s nice to hear that you figured it out.
