no way to post to forum from panel

Using this forum with Virtue theme. I’ve installed it via directions provided on your plugin details, and copy and pasted the shortcode to get the forum on the page, but within the three options in the admin panel, I only see the option to name categories, not actually post anything. When I am on the front end of it, though I have a forum category named, the text underneath that name says “there are no forums yet”. I realize I’m probably missing something incredibly simple; what’s wrong?

You have to create the forums inside your categories! Go to “Forum -> Forums” inside your admin-panel. ??
