    Hi,

there is no way to make the plugin load the images, store them locally and only load them from the local server. They are always delivered from the instagram CDN or do not show up at all.

With GDRP set to yes, images will never load or show up
With GDPR set to automatic images will show up after cookies have been allowd by cliking “yes” in the pop-up of the gdpr plugin.

I uninstalled the plugin and re-installed it. Reconnected the instagram account. Turned Ajax on/off, reseted resized pictures, cleared backup cache, included the js-file in the head, deactivated loading of images by JS, force empty cache in intervall.

Doesn’t matter which setting, the plugin does not store images locally.

Any idea? Where can i start to debug this?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hey @consbie,

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. This is likely an issue with the Image Magick or cURL configuration on your server. For us to look closer into this, please send us a support request via our website, and in the support request include the System Info from the plugin’s Support tab. From there, a support representative will be happy to provide further assistance.

    Hi,

i opened the ticket at June 29th including all information as you requested. There is no answer so far. We would appreciate a lot if you could have a look at it and if you could provide a solution for the problem. Thank you very much.

    Hey @consbie,

Thank you for getting back to me here. I can see that you reached out twice during June and we replied to both tickets – have you checked the spam folder of your email? In either case, I will add the information here for your consideration as well.

The plugin’s permanent backup is disabled – the plugin will not save any images and, therefore, can’t display them when the GDPR setting is active. In order to fix the issue, I would suggest you enable the Permanent Backup by going to Instagram Feed > Customize > Misc > Enable Backup/Permanent caching. After this, in the same section please click Reset Resized Images and Clear Backup Cache buttons.

Let me know if you still have issues here, or if you find our replies you can also reply via email.

    Best regards.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply and sorry for the trouble. It might be in fact a SpamAssassin issue. I have put you on the whitelist, so further emails should reach me.

I modified the configuration as you suggested but this did not solve the problem.

However, there is an error logged now: (sensitive information replaced with *)

    07-13 12:00:00 – Fehler beim Bearbeiten des Bildes. error_loading_image – Existiert die Datei? | {“error_loading_image”:”https:\/\/scontent-ber1-1.cdninstagram.com\/v\/***.*****-**\/***********************.jpg?_nc_cat=***&ccb=*-*&_nc_sid=*******&_nc_ohc=***************&_nc_ht=scontent-ber1-1.cdninstagram.com&oh=*******************************”}

Could this help? Thank you very much.

    Hey @consbie,

I have reached out again to you now including your alternative email. Let me know if you do not receive these emails here and we can continue here best we can.

For visiting users in general, this type of error is related to Image Magick on your server. Please see our documentation here and reach out to your host. We are also including a workaround that will help in some cases in a coming update to the plugin.

    Many thanks.
