Even though I have “Disable the “Authors” box when using “Quick Edit”:” DISabled in this plugin’s settings, no Authors box shows up in Quick Edit or the bulk editor for pages (it’s there for posts). And when I try to change the author in the page editor itself, it saves but doesn’t change it in Pages. What’s going on here, and how do I change the author? There is no caching as this is a project.

    Hi @redkite

    Thanks for using PublishPress Authors.

I just checked this and author is showing on quick edit of page:

I have a feeling this is plugin conflicting. Could you please temporarily deactivate other plugins except PublishPress Authors?

I disabled all plugins except PublishPress Authors and also switched to a default theme, but the problem continues where the Authors can be edited on Pages only when the plugin is deactivated. I also tried to deactivate it and change the authors, which seemed to work, but then when I turned the plugin back on the authors were back to the old ones.

@redkite Does it simply vanish without any option to alter the author? Have you observed any errors in the console?

Yes – when the plugin is on (with all other plugins disabled and a default theme enabled) the Authors box is missing from the Pages bulk editor:

The only error related to the bulk editor is this for the Parent dropdown:

“Multiple form field elements in the same form have the same?id?attribute value. This might prevent the browser from correctly autofilling the form.

To fix this issue, use unique?id?attribute values for each form field.”

@redkite Could you please screenshot where do you see this error?

“Multiple form field elements in the same form have the same id attribute value. This might prevent the browser from correctly autofilling the form.

To fix this issue, use unique id attribute values for each form field.”

The other node doesn’t appear, only this one.

@redkite You should look in the “Console” tab, not the “Issue” tab.

I don’t see any errors in the Console tab.

@redkite Could you inform me what PHP version and what WP version you are using?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, please reply again here, or you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,
