No Visual Editor in WP 3.3 with MAc OSX 10.4 and older Firefox/Safari

  • Ever since i updated to 3.3 and up, I cannot access the Visual Editor. I am not the only one. It is a stall to the point i have had to learn coding. I have scoured the forums, I have had my server Bluehost check it all on their side, and they say my functionality there is fine, i have disabled plug ins, tried some other’s workarounds,
    and wasted enormous amounts of time.
    Finally, i used a fiend’s Laptop MACBOOK PRO in Snow Leopard OSX 10.6, and the Visual editor is there.
    It is clearly an issue with incompatibility with older versions of Web Browsers.
    I do not have $1500 to buy a new Mac to be able to manage my site. PLEASE someone help me solve this, or WORDPRESS! please fix this! OR I will have to Leave WORDPRESS all together, and will have wasted all this learning time. I do not want to do that. PLEASE HELP!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    yes certainly i have done these things.
    except the plugins FTP thing whic is too complicated for me to deal with. I do appreciate your advice andfor replying but i have been in this mess for months and there are thousands of us out there with this problem and everyone has tried almost everything. And as i said I had my host go inside my dashboard and examine the backend. They saw no flaws.

    The steps I gave above are part of the basic WordPress troubleshooting process and are all reversible. If you cannot work with us, then I’m afraid that we cannot help you. Try reading the page at the link I posted above.
