    Hi

I am having a hard time since I installed this plugin. I Googled multiple times to search some basic video tutorials. But nope on your you tube channel just a profile setting tutorial.

We are not technical people. If we set a plugin then there should be step by step tutorial. Documentation is also for technical people.

Can anyone kindly guide me how to set [affiliates_url] for making a couple of affilaite ads or banners.

  • Hi onlinework,
I hope this video can help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMhhQqLaAwI
Usually with the basic affiliates-area page generated from Affiliates->Settings:Pages you have all you need to works, but if you need to customize your affiliates-area page, you can use the available shortcodes .

But this is the real problem that how to use short codes? I have been struggling hard since 5 days.

kindly tell me to make just one banner for affilaites. and when they register then they must get a login page then after logging their dash board should be vsible to them.

    Hi,
if a guest or a not affiliate visits the affiliates-area page (this page is generated from Affiliates->Settings:Pages and you can edit it from Pages->All Pages), then he will see an affiliate registration/login form.
If an affiliate visits this page, then he will see his custom links.
If you want to create an image banner, you can use this [affiliates_url] shortcode (that generates the custom url, and use html with the ‘img’ tag), or use the banner section available in the Affiliates Pro version.
Related to the shortcodes, maybe this post can help you to use them.
    Kind regards,
    Antonio B.

    Hi

I often use short codes in word press, but short means they start functioning the moment u put in in some where. For example slider plugin etc. But what kind of short codes u have provided i don’t know. Your short codes just start showing up at front end as it is. even i saw one video and tried to make profile page for affiliate and follow every step in the video, but it didn’t work. I think I am just wasting your time, this plugin is really not meant to use free thats why things are such complicated. Anyway thanks you for your time.

    Hi,
please check if the plugin is enabled. If you set the shortcodes in a page, they should work directly.
If the problem persists, you can send me dashboard admin access indicating this conversation to antonio[at]itthinx[dot]com and I’ll have a look at your settings.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.

if you do not see neither the shortcode or any text, maybe you’re visiting the page without being an affiliate, this could be the reason why not show you custom url.

Have I said thats settings are not correct. I was already saying that I have set every thing as instructed. My issues were different which are as it is. Even the registration emails are not received to user. I thought you will definetley solve the problem now, but no avail.

This is not fair at all.

    Hi,
I have tested your affiliates-area and it works correctly.
I have created an affiliate account and I have received the email correctly.
I have used my custom link, and the cookie is created correctly.
In your referrals section I can see that you have referrals created.
Your question is about the shortcodes. If you use the shortcodes in the affiliates-area, these should work correctly.
Really I don’t know where is the problem.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.

    Ah ok,
The problem is with the banners code, sorry.
If you want to create an image as banner, you can use the <img> html tag and the [affiliates_url] shortcode, something like this:
    <a href="[affiliates_url]"><img src="https://www.example.com/your-banner-image.png" alt="" /></a>
Or use the banners extended feature available in Pro version.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.

    Dear Sir

Now I will ask questions by showing what I am doing and where I stuck?

The immediate query right now is. I want to show only user registration option to someone who want to join. Then when they join they should be allowed to login after confirming their email and once they log in then they should have my account option. It a normal way whenevr we get regitrated at any website whether it’s affilaite or not. How to achieve that I don’t have any other page except default page.

    Hi @onlinework,

    Regarding your requirement:

I want to show only user registration option to someone who want to join. Then when they join they should be allowed to login after confirming their email and once they log in then they should have my account option.

You can create a page for that by clicking one button under Affiliates > Settings > Pages – There is a detailed guide on how to do that and more on this documentation page: https://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/setup/settings/pages/

    Cheers
