I’m using the latest version of WordPress – theme is “Go”. I installed the CP media player plugin. I uploaded an MP4 video file that plays fine on multiple devices at home. After uploading, there is now no video – audio only. I’ve tried various video formats but still nothing. NOTE – video will not play even in the Media Library. Could really use some expertise assistance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @cajon44omeg9

If the video is not playing even in the media library, the issue must be related to its encoding, which is not supported by browsers.

Could you please send me the link to the video file directly?

    Best regards.

New at this – should I send a link directly into my media library file?

    Hello @cajon44omeg9

Yes, of course, you should copy the link from the media library:

I copied the URL in the browser after selecting the MP4 file in question.

    Here- https://acousticshadow.net/wp-admin/upload.php?item=202

FYI – the MP4 was created using Corel Video Studio 12 on an HP computer running 32 bit XP

    Thanks

    Hello @cajon44omeg9

You have copied the wrong URL. It is the link to the admin page of the video. I need the link to the mp4 file on your website.

    Best regards.

Forgive me – I’m reasonable computer lit but I’m still learning WordPress and GoDaddy.

I had removed the video – I’ve now created a new video player using CP – when I loaded it – the program showed that the location of the video file is here”

    Hello @cajon44omeg9

If you load the URL directly in the browser, you will see it does not show the video. So, there is no way our player can show the video if its encoding is not supported by browsers.

Please, download the reencoded video from the following link and try it on your website:

    https://resources.developers4web.com/cff/tmp/2023/07/14/MorrwA_o.mp4

I reencoded the video by using the HandBrake application.

    Best regards.

Hey Code! You have great powers! Seriously, thank you and there are obvious encoding problems. I can only guess it must be the encoding of my video editor. It’s over 10 years old so…

Thanks again for all your help – the video is up and running.
