• I’ve had a challenge with being able to assign capabilities to a specific user. I’ve followed the directions (User Role Editor / manage_links), but when the user logs in, the only option is “All Links” & “Add New.” There are no options to edit as the capabilities reflect. Also, on the links page list, there is no “Edit” or hyperlink option. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi there. Sorry for the lack of response. Is this still a concern that I should investigate? Thanks for letting me know.

Yes, please. I have taken on editing as as admin, but would others to help edit.

The documentation for giving access to non-admin users was outdated. It was from before version 6.0. I have updated it. Instead of giving the manage_links permission, you need to look in the Group section, under All -> Custom Post Types -> Link Library and select all of the check boxes (or only the ones you want to give permissions for) for the specific user or user class that you want to be able to edit links.

As for the Edit links not appearing, this is also now related to these same custom post type permissions. That being said, there was a bug related to it which has now been fixed in the new version I just pushed out.

Please update, try to set these new permissions and let me know if it’s working correctly for you. If it does, please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.
