no update possible from 2.08 to 2.2

Hey, I don’t know your login info so I can’t see what’s going on. Maybe try deactivating your plugins? When the blank side appears what still shows on your page?

Hey it sounds like your server isn’t’ downloading the update properly or that the php max memory isn’t high enough. You can activate a different theme, then deleate the 2.0.8 version and manually update the 2.2.0 version by downloading here and uploading the zip file to your site:

1. there is a complete blank side – I do not see anything anymore!
2. at present, we only have virtue as a theme installed. I tried installing another theme to inactive virtue – this is not working either.
It seems now that nothing is working properly anymore….even the plugin page cannot be opened anymore to deactivate plugins and check for a conflict…
3. I tired uploading your update file manually – not working either – all blank…

Yea you need to remove the theme, it sounds like when you installed either the whole theme wasn’t downloaded or something else happened. If you access your site through the file manager on your hosting account or with ftp access you can remove the theme. WordPress won’t respond so you can’t do it through wordpress it will have to be removed through access to the files.

wp-content/themes/virtue

Just remove the whole virtue folder.
